Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-09-21  Straclonoor: Keres won pawn and had advantage in the ending. <38.Kg3?> was passive move. 38.Ke4! keeps advantage and chances to win.

Analysis by Stockfish 030721:

+- (4.46): 38.Ke4 Rd8 39.Bd4 Nf4 40.Ra6+ Kf7 41.Rf6+ Ke8 42.Rf5 Ne6 43.Be3 Ra8 44.Rf2 g4 45.hxg4 hxg4 46.g3 Kd7 47.Kd5 Ra6 48.Ke5 Ke8 49.Kf5 Nc7 50.Rd2 b4 51.Bf4 Nb5 52.Be5 Ke7 53.Rh2 Ra5 54.Kxg4 Ke6 55.Kf4 Ra8 56.g4 Rf8+ 57.Ke4 Rf1 58.Rh6+ Kd7 59.Kd5 Nc3+ 60.Bxc3 bxc3 61.Rd6+ Ke7 62.Rc6 Rd1+ 63.Ke4 Rg1 64.Rxc3 Rxg4+ 65.Kd5 Kd7 66.a4 Rg5+ 67.Kd4 Rg4+ 68.Kd3 Rf4

Jul-09-21  Retireborn: <Straclonoor> Keres in Informator gives a different score which starts 36...Rd2+ 37.Kf3 h5 38.Bf8 Ne6 39.Bb4 Rd4, and doesn't give him the chance to play Ke4.

Probably some research is needed to uncover the truth of the matter.

Jul-09-21  Olavi: No need to check, 38.Ke4 would be too obvious to miss, 38.Kg3 would be absurd.
