Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-26-02  bishop: Fishy looking simul game. Why didn't Kasparov play the obvious 24...Nxc4?
Apr-18-06  LluviaSean: <bishop>, interesting question that has been left unanswered for 3 and a half years. I too would like to know why Garry didnt just grab the pawn.
Apr-18-06  who: maybe moves 24 and 25 are transposed?
Jul-30-06  Gouki: well it was a simultaneous. Kasparov was probably trying to play cautious and not be too greedy.
Nov-10-08  Confuse: After 24. Nxc4, Rc2 the position becomes wild and fantastically complex. or something like that.
Oct-30-12  SafeNorSound: Also, 38... g6!? seems to win a rook after 39.Rf2 (prevents mate) f5+ 40.gxf5 gxf5+ 41.Rxf5 (forced) then ...Rh5 removes the defending king and wins the rook.
Apr-07-17  Tuzmor: The 19-year-old didn't go down without a fight.
