Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-09-08  component: Another masterpiece.
Jan-09-08  DarthStapler: Why did black resign?
Jan-09-08  Ardashir: If you have a weak position against someone you think you are better than, you try to play on in hopes of turning it around. If you have a crumbling position with several weak pawns against Kasparov, you might as well resign - you'll never turn it around anyway...
Jan-09-08  component: White is already up a pawn and is about to win another.
Nov-21-11  Matsumoto: It looks as if black would have reasonable counterplay with 25. ... hxg5. Kasparov uses a lot of smoke screen psychology to back up his strong tactical abilities. Presumably that combination is more difficult nowadays, with computers revealing where there is smoke without fire. ... Perhaps this is why he left chess?
