Mar-13-05  THE pawn: A total end-game massacre judit suffered.
Mar-13-05  blackpawnther: couldnt judit have played 37.Be8 instead of the text?
Mar-14-05  THE pawn: I think she was forcing Garry, not to make a mistake ( like it's possible...) but to retake the positional advantage she had in the first few moves. Her mistake was 18.Bh3. The obvious move. It was useless.
Mar-14-05  sharpnova: if this wasn't an extremely fast blitz game.. judit needs to learn when to resign.
Mar-14-05  watchchess79: Does not 19. ..e5 win the knight for black? Can any body explain?

19...e5? allows 20. Bxd7+ Kxd7 21. fxe5 opening Black's king, so the further 21...fxe5? 22. Nb5+ with discovered attacks on both king and queen.

Mar-14-05  watchchess79: <beatgiant> 22. Nb5+ will however be taken by the black queen. In that case what is your answer??

Look again. On 19...e5 20. Bxd7+ Kxd7 21. fxe5 dxe5 22. Nb5+, there is discovered check from the rook, so ...Qxb5 is not a legal move.
