Aug-05-06  KingG: Very nice game. Seirawan annotates it here: http://www.chesscafe.com/text/yaz60...
Aug-05-06  hitman84: <KingG>Thanks for the link!
Aug-08-06  notyetagm: This is one of the very best Black Sicilian games that I have ever seen.
Aug-08-06  positionalgenius: This is another masterpiece from the greatest of all time,Kasparov.
May-20-12  Hesam7: <<21. Bb6?>

This looks like a tactical miscue, but Black is kicking after 21. Nd5 Bxd5 22. exd5 f5! (22. ... e4 23. Bh5) 23. gxf6 Nxf6, with plans for ... e5-e4 to pick up the d5-pawn. The position is hard to evaluate, but 21. a5, clamping down the queenside, seems to be in order.> -- GM Seirawan

Seirawan's 21. a5 hardly looks any better than the game if Black plays 21. ... Nd6!. He also missed:

21. Nd5 Bxd5 22. b3! (with the idea of exd5 & c4) 22. ... Qc3 23. exd5

and now Black has to choose between bad and worse:

23. ... f5 24. gxf6 e.p. Nxf6 25. Bg5 Rac8 26. Bxf6 Bxf6 27. Be4 Rd6 28. Bf5 Rcd8 29. Rad1

23. ... Nd6 24. Rae1 b5 25. axb5 axb5 26. Bd1 Bf8 27. Bb6 Re8 28. Bc5

Nov-29-13  master of defence: Can't white play here simply 64.Kh1 avoiding the mate threat?
Apr-05-15  SpiritedReposte: Garry refusing the draw and going for the win as Black. Always one for the fight that Kasparov was.
