Difficult question. Khalifman mentions the Polu-Tal game in his notes in Informator (15. Qf4 as a novelty; Kamsky also played 15. d5 here in 1993, another new move).

The Polu game receives the customary intensive analysis in "My Great Predecessors" by Kasparov, where 18...Nb2 was the serious mistake. GK concludes that black has good defensive resources with 18...Rc6 or 18...g6.
