  Honza Cervenka: 30...b5 and 31...c4 is quite surprizing and very effective. Instead of 32.b6 Korchnoi could have played 32.e5 c3 33.Be4 f5 34.Bd3 cxb5 but it is objectively won for black too.
Dec-13-05  Brown: It is interesting how Karpov plays the reverse Sicilian as black, and does it successfully against the likes of Kasparov as well. I often wondered why he didn't try the modest development of the bishop from the white side of the sicilian against Kasparov, instead of giving up e4 all together against him because of the nature of the open sicilian.
