  GrahamClayton: 14...♕b7+ is an error, as the exchange of queens reduces Black's counterplay. Correct is 14....♘e5, keeping the Queens on, as in Seirawan vs Browne, 1980.

  woldsmandriffield: Gheorghiu should have held this game. He neglected to get his counter-play in with 29..b5 and wasted time with 33..a5 instead of playing 33..Ke7 immediately (or still going 33..b5).

Karpov's 34 Rg6 could not be met by 34..Rf6 due to 35 Rxg7! Nxg7 35 Rxd6 followed by Rxb6.
