Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-08-09  whiteshark: After 28...Rc8 O'Kelly offered a draw.

He could have played 32...Bd6 for a repetition, but Karpov has been short on time, so he went for more...

Aug-08-09  whiteshark: Just in time O'Kelly realised that the planned move <21...Bxf6> won't work due to <22.Nc6> and <23.Qxd7>, losing a piece.

Mateo: Both players missed that 29.Nxa6? was a blunder, as 29...Rc6! wins material. If 30.Nb4 Rxc3, both Knights are attacked and White can't defend both.
