Retireborn: Is there any data about the date/location etc of this game?

I have some other games with this label in my database, notably

Timman vs J Murey, 1993

and

Anand vs Polugaevsky, 1993

Does anybody know if this was a single event, or if the games were spread across the year, Bundesliga-style?

perfidious: <Retireborn>, the year before the games listed herein, I actually gave some thought to emigrating to France and playing in that league; seems to me there were something on the order of 14-18 teams from all about the country, some from major areas, of course, while one which stands out in memory even today is Oyonnax, a place I have visited, on the way from Geneve to Lyon.

While I had no Elo at the time, my recollection is that I could have played for all but one or two squads in the top league.

Believe the matches were played in similar fashion to the Bundesliga, but again, it had been many a moon since I had even thought of that venture.

Retireborn: <Perfidious> Thanks for that. Yes, I expect it was Bundesliga fashion.
