Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-02-04  Knight13: 37... Rxf1 is better. Mating net = 45... Kf5 46. Rxg5# 1-0. Very useful knight chase Kasparov has made.
Nov-02-04  Saruman: <Knight13>Its not mate after 46.Rxg5+ Kf4 though white wins easily.
Nov-02-04  Knight13: <Saruman> Oh yeah. You are right. Not checkmate. At least white can blast off Black's pawns. White can kill the g and h pawn. Then 47. Bf6 Bxf6 48. Rxb5 is winning.
Apr-16-05  acdc: this game won the brilliancy prize
May-13-08  whiteshark: <acdc: <this game won the brilliancy prize>> And this for a good reason as it's a strategical masterpiece exploring the ♗♗ vs ♗♘ superiority.
May-31-11  Everett: I think the best winning line is 45..Kf5 46.Kxg5+ Ke4 47.f3 Kd4 48.Bb6+ Kd5 49.f4 f6 50.Rxh5 Kc6 51.fxe5 Kxb6 52.exf6
May-31-11  Jim Bartle: "this game won the brilliancy prize"

And, chairman of the committee to award the brilliancy prize: Garry Kasparov.

Oct-18-14  electrocloud: The game I Rogers vs G Milos, 1992 actually won the brilliancy prize. Kasparov as always was furious that his effort (Kasparov vs P Nikolic, 1992) was shunned in favor of an "easier" game - and maybe rightfully so
Oct-29-17  MrMcgoo: Sometimes you will allow the the piece symbol to be lower case as in "nxc" But sometime you won't, as in nxc+ which results in lost points. Please make Olga consistent, Thanks
