Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-19-08  Xeroxx: way to go
Dec-14-09  brookylynbobby: those were the days of young chucky...
Feb-26-21  Gaito: The following diagram shows the position after 20.Ne4:

Black blundered with 20...Bf7??, overlooking White's very strong reply 21.f6!, which was the beginning of an unstoppable K-side attack by Chucky. Correct would have been 20...bxa4 21.Bf4 Nf6 22.Rxa4 Rb8 with equality.

Feb-26-21  Gaito: Apparently, White's strong move 21.f6! came as a shock to the Hungarian master, as he immediately made yet another mistake. See the following diagram:

Black played 21...g6?, thereby making an additional weakness on his attacked K-side. Chess players should never forget one of the principles taught by Steinitz: "Do not create weaknesses on the side where your opponent is attacking". Although there was no saving clause for Black, a lesser evil would have been 21...Nxf6 22.Nxf6+ Qxf6 23.Qe4 Bd5 24.Qh7+ Kf7 25.Bd2 Ke8, trying to escape with his King. He would probably have averted an immediate mate, but Black was lost anyway.
