Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-30-03  Abiodun: Jeremy Silman, in his text "The Amateur's Mind", cites White's move # 32.g5 as an example in how to effectively deprive enemy Knights from any advanced support points. A tactic that was dear to Steinitz's heart, and employed well here, by Hort.

Fusilli: <Abiodun> Yes, 32.g5 and 33.g4 demonstrate that the pawn structure is not disadvantageous for white, but the opposite. Really neat positional squeeze.
