Mar-29-04  Tigran Petrosian: Very nice.
Mar-29-04  Vischer: Tigran Petrosian, Chessgames.com says you can't make your user name the same as an actual GM, unless you are them. I doubt you are really Petrosian.

tamar: Tigran Petrosian is okay to use <Vischer> because it is the name of a non-living GM. Petrosian died August 13, 1984. There is another Tigran Petrosian currently, but he is so far only a strong master. "3. Do not name yourself after a famous living chessplayer (unless you are really him or her!) Likewise, please do not put "GM" or any other chess title in your handle unless you have actually achieved that title."
Mar-29-04  Vischer: Good point.
Mar-29-04  Tigran Petrosian: Thank you tamar. I am just a big Petrosian fan.

keypusher: Wow, whotta game! Black certainly pushed hypermodernism to its logical extreme here. :-)
Feb-04-06  DAL9000: This really should be game of the day sometime. I've never, ever seen a pawn structure even remotely like the one you see after move 27. Yowza.
Feb-04-06  Jim Bartle: It's already been Game of the (Half) Year, as best game from Informant 13.
Apr-16-08  ToTheDeath: For goodness sake- 43.Qc4+ Kh8 44.Qxa4 Rb1+ 45.Kc2 Rxh1 46.Qf4 should hold the draw without difficulty.

An Englishman: Good Evening: Fascinating game! Both players must have had enormous difficulty navigating the complications. After 27.gxh4, what do you think of 27...Rf4!? with the idea of 28...Rfxd4 and invading with doubled Rooks?
Apr-17-08  ToTheDeath: <An Englishman> 27...Rf4? 28.b7! as the pawn becomes a menace.
Jan-17-10  butilikefur: ? why didn't Black play <25...Nc7+ 26. Bxc7 Rxc7 27. Qd4> 27. b7 Rd8 28. Qd4 (28. Qe5 28...Bc2+ [28...Rxd6+ 29. Qxd6 Bc2+ 30. Ke1 Rxg2+ 31. Qg3 Bxg3+ 32. hxg3 and Black loses] 29. Kc1 Bxb3 threatening Bf6) 28...Bc2+ (28...Bh5+ 29. Be2 [29. g4 Bxg4+] 29...Bxe2+ 30. Kd2 Bc4+ 31. Ke3 [31. Qxf2 Bxf2 32. bxc4 Rxd6+ 33. Ke2 Rb6 34.
