  chancho: Both are threatening a piece. Of course after the White Queen moves, Black can capture on e5, but his Knight is also threatened. Did Reshevsky lose this one on time?
Mar-17-06  Caissanist: I think he resigned simply because he can't stop white from exchanging everything after 42.Qxg6, leaving him down the exchange and a pawn in an endgame. For example 42.Qxg6 fxe5 43.Bxd5+ Bxd5 44.Qxg7+ Kxg7 45 Rxe5.

One may think White actually lost, because of the pawn fork.

Apr-07-16  RookFile: Geller was strong in the opening and he used it to advantage against Reshevsky in this game.
