Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-18-05  aw1988: I posted a very interesting game on Ruy Lopez, Marshall (C89), although it should have gone on this page.
Aug-17-05  reendo21: I believe Black's 20th should Kf8...which appears to be much stronger.....protecting against the LEVER d5 leading to a White passed pawn on the c file.
Jul-04-08  dRr0x0rZZ: 20...Kf8 is given as the best by Lalic in "The Marshall Attack."
Apr-19-12  Helios727: What happens after 38... Kf8 ?
Apr-19-12  Shams: <Helios727> 38...Kf8 39.Bd7 forces mate.
Nov-28-14  JohnTal: I gotta love these 3 Bernstein losses against Bobby, in each one SB sacrifices a piece for the attack and Bobby successfully exploits the advantage. At least, SB was not intimidated by BF and I am glad for it. How many players of that time were afraid to mix it up with Bobby? I only wish SB had a brilliancy prize against the young Fischer.
Nov-29-14  RookFile: This was a very entertaining game.

WHITE TO MOVE

11. Qxf3?! looks very logical and natural, yet it is a dubious move that can easily get White into unnecessary difficulties.

Correct is 11. d4!, see for example this game:
Tal vs Kirjatsky, 1959
