Feb-18-06  micartouse: A terribly efficient victory for Max Euwe. 11 ... bxa4 is the correct opening play according to Alekhine. White wins the skirmish on the queenside and after the first 20 moves has a great development lead.

He then creates weaknesses in Black's insufficiently defended kingside and picks it apart very much in his style. Moves 23-28 feature instructive combinative play. If 25 ... Kxh7 26. Bxg6+! fxg6 27. Rd7+. A complete crush.

wwall: After 25.Nxh7, instead of 25...Rfd8, perhaps 25...Qd8 is better, trying to trade off queens.

After 26.h4 Rd7?? loses. Perhaps 26...Rd6 27.h5 e5 28.Qxe5 Re6, but White still looks better.

Retireborn: The subtitles call the players "airway" and "floor".

I suppose airway is reasonably close actually....
