Apr-10-06  EmperorAtahualpa: AMAZING GAME!!!

I will definitely get back to this game later, but for now I will just share with you that GM Seirawan has analyzed this game very nicely on this page:

  Xeroxx: 13. b4!!!!!!!!!!!

?

Feb-26-09  Samagonka: What a crazy game. Looks like the pieces were having a war party.
Feb-26-09  tsvanerp: <xeroxx> note that b4!! occurs twice in the game. I think , <outplayer> meant 13 b4!! and not 18 b4!! which is less spectacular.
Feb-26-09  computer chess guy: According to Rybka, Black's best defense was 14.. ♕xd2+ with an even score as of depth 17. Neither Seirwan nor Ftacnik, who annotated this for ChessBase, mention this.

kevin86: The rooks could hold the queen, but not the vicious passed pawns!
Feb-26-09  Minty: Isn't Dreev pronounced something like 'Dray-ev'? I didn't get the pun for a few moments, because I didn't consider pronouncing it to rhyme with 'believe'...

chessgames.com: <Minty: Isn't Dreev pronounced something like 'Dray-ev'?> It certainly is, but all's fair in love and puns. Anyhow, it's such a beautiful game we couldn't let lack of punability prevent us from showing it.
Feb-26-09  letlive: beatiful on black's nxe4, bxe1 at move 16!
Feb-26-09  WhiteRook48: I cannot Be Dreev that Shirov lost!
