Nov-30-04  euripides: Some beautiful positional play here. Gelfand opens up holes in Black's position by the pawn sacrifice c5 and his queen spends the rest of the game enjoying the resulting open lines.
Nov-30-04  Simon 33: Nice
Jan-04-05  Poisonpawns: Great game! Topalov keeps it even for a long time defending static weaknesses on c-file his problems begin on move 26..Kg7? what a mysterious move.Walking into a pin and allowing a clear advantage to white.Thats the problem with accepting such weakness early in the game, one has to play perfect defense and its hard to find one here 26..a6 lead to clear adv to white.25..f4 26.Qxa7 Bd8! 28.Bf1 Bg4! 29.Rc1 Kh8 and Black is walking on eggshells! but even. The idea for black is to play in a way to maximize the scope of the bishops in this position.
