Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-09-02  refutor: people should look at this game for historical purposes...the first ever tchigorin ruy lopez (played by tchigorin naturally)
Feb-29-04  Kenkaku: Actually, E Heilmann vs Moewig, 1905 seems to be the first game in which it was played (in this database at least).
Nov-17-04  ForeverYoung: I played through this game last night from "Lesser-Known Chess Masterpieces: 1906-1915" Wow Chigorin was using the chigorin system vs. the Ruy! Instructive as all get out! Hoffer preferred b3 followed by Bb2. He points out 21 h4 as a blunder "as he would not designedly give up a pawn." Nice finish by the mighty Russian.
