Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-28-15  Howard: This game was instrumental as far as Browne's remarkable comeback in the 1981 U.S. championship.

He lost to two of the eventual tailenders--Kudrin and Benjamin-early in the event, so that was certainly a poor start. But in beating one of his rivals Christiansen--and with Black--this helped him to end up tying for first, with Seirawan.

RIP, Browne.
