Aug-31-05  Resignation Trap: In his red notebook about Bronstein, Botvinnik entered: "Sicilian (!), Rauzer Variation. Liublinsky castled on the short side. 'Br' made use of the very first opportunity to take the initiative (...b4, axb4, Nxb4). Liublinsky craftily consolidated and began repeating moves . 'Br' avoided repetition and obtained a slightly inferior position! (Aha! - it works). But did not lose his head and offered a draw on the 26th move!

This game was 'Br's first in the tournament.

Aug-31-05  aw1988: Game notes. Entered Aug 31 2005. "Res" typed energetically and accurately, copying down notes without typos. Very nicely handled!
Oct-08-06  aw1988: I sometimes scare myself. With nearly 9000 kibitzes, I see my name on every page, and on this occasion I even laughed at my own joke i had forgotten. Good grief. Just ignore me, people, move along...
