Aug-27-10  ozmikey: Surprised there are no comments on this superb Botvinnik game.

16...Bh4! paralyses White on the kingside - after 17. Bxf8 Nxf8 Black can easily win the exchange back (if he wants) with the double threat of ...f4 and ...Bg5.

Then, once the White king gets stranded on the queenside, the way Botvinnik gradually picks open its defences (including the thematic sac 31...e4!) is lovely to watch.

Aug-12-15  zydeco: Botvinnik played the King's Indian only a handful of times in his career. He scored +7-1 (although none of those games were particularly important).

It is nice how Botvinnik shifts the axis of attack to the queenside. It feels as if black is the only one playing throughout this game.
