Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-23-05  fred lennox: Good game by black, since it is clear he was playing for a draw. 13...Nxf2 took Botvinnik by surprise. He must of been very happy with the draw. Though an excellent game I find it odd this game to be included in 100 selected games when some of his best wins are not. Botvinnik was a modest man in several accounts.
Mar-23-05  aw1988: I know for a fact that Botvinnik had pre-analyzed up to 19. Kd3. How much farther, I cannot be sure.
Oct-18-05  InfinityCircuit: Botvinnik only analyzed up to move 19. From there he analyzed the position as winning, but still played it cautiously.

Overall this is probably one of my favorite games. No real mistakes from either side make for a fantastic shoot-out.

Jul-31-13  TheFocus: Final move was 30...Qd2+ according to Botvinnik in <One Hundred Selected Games>.
Mar-30-20  ewan14: Botvinnik playing the g4 move !

beatgiant: Probably not an example of the sort of g4 move <Helloween> was talking about in Botvinnik vs Alatortsev, 1934, but I never did manage to understand his definition.
