Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-10-05  prinsallan: 27... Ba3 leaves much desired.
How about Qd8 instead?

I am just an amateur but I would love to see what that leads to. Is there a way for Black to force a Queen exchange and come out on top?

Feb-10-05  Cyphelium: <prinsallan> 27.- ♕d8 leads to mate: 28. ♖xc4+ ♔b8 29. ♕xd8 mate or 28.- ♕c7 29. ♕d7+ ♔b8 30. ♕xc7 mate.
Feb-10-05  prinsallan: Thanks m8 for enlightning me.
Somehow it just felt that black was on top.
Where exactly did it go wrong ?
Feb-10-05  prinsallan: Of course Black looses tremendous time in the beginning by moving the Queen allover the place, but I still cant put my finger on where the game is lost.
Feb-11-05  Cyphelium: <prinsallan> Perhaps 7.- dxc4 is dubious, since after 8. ♕c2!, white got good play on the central squares. Possibly black is still alright if he, as you suggest, refrain from losing tempi with the queen. But for a start I suggest 7.- ♕b6, which looks pretty decent. After, say, 8. e3?! ♕xb3 9. axb3 ♘a6 and ♘b4, there might be some problems on the d3-square.
Dec-21-22  Cheapo by the Dozen: Both sides developed slowly. Black was ahead overall until he snatched the Exchange and opened lines for White in the center.
