Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-19-04  d4Nf6Bg5: Why resign here?
Jan-19-04  Almanzor2: Because White is a pawn down, and in a move or two he will both be two pawns down, and will lose the right to castle. Third of all, all these things are happening, and on the other side of the board you have Bagirov!
Feb-22-04  d4Nf6Bg5: good point. I was my alekhine games went as smoothly.
Oct-29-07  patzerboy: Well, he could get in a few more Queen moves, at least, before resigning.
Feb-04-08  Knight13: What's wrong with 13...Bxc5? (Qxc5 Nd3+, no?)I played that in Guess The Move and I got nailed.
Jul-14-08  Silverstrike: <Knight13> I think that it's a case of 13...Nxe5 being a better move, as it attacks the white queen, will force a check on d3 next move and keeps the c5 pawn as a target. I'd expect you to get a point or two though for entering 13...Bxc5, did you get penalised for that?
Feb-21-09  seagull1756: This is a very weird game...
Aug-13-09  PugnaciousPawn: If 14.Qxb4, then 14...Nd3 forks the King and Queen.
May-23-10  Zelphir: I like the fluent movement of knights and bishops, which black shows here! Since this often happens in great Alekhine Opening games I think this is a very interesting opening.
Nov-24-20  morphynoman2: "Light Cavalry Overture"
