Mateo: A beautiful game: nice tactics in the middlegame and a delightful ending.

If 21... Rc1 22. Qc1 Qd4? 23. Qc7 .

If 23... Qd4? 24. Qc7 .

32... Nd4!!, in connection with 33... b3 was a really beautiful move.

34. Na5! was safe. If 34... Bd4 Qc2 35. Qf4 (best move) ab 36. Bb2 ba! 37. Bd4 Bf6! 38. Bf6 gf 39. Qb8 Kg7 40. Qa7 Qb1 41. Nd6 a1Q 42. Qf7, draw. Funny variation!

I think 45... Kf8 (?) is the losing move. In my opinion he should have played 45... h5. After 45... Kf8 46. g4! seems to win.

Apr-21-10  dzhafner: quick question, how is it a closed catalan if black took dxc4?
