Nov-09-08  AnalyzeThis: This is really impressive. Bovtvinnik could have taken white instead, and you couldn't tell the difference. 'Definitely not a Tal 'shoot 'em up' game.
Dec-06-08  Crocomule: Pure genius: 12.Rc1, not c2.

A very good question??! I cannot find anything wrong with 19... d5, but I don't possess an engine (neither am I a very strong player). One clumsy variation I've cobbled together is 19... d5 20.b5 Bb7 21.cxd5 - and whichever way black recaptures the pawn, white will respond with 22.Nc6 (!?); but it would take someone with an engine to verify whether or not this is correct (and/or better for white)?

My engine, Deep Shredder 12, prefers Andersson's move 19...Rc7, with equality, over other moves. Second best is 19...Red8

19...d5 is not an error, but it is not as good as the other two moves, according to the engine.

White gets a small edge with the zwischenzug 20.b5!

19... d5 20.b5 dxc4 21.Bxc4 Bb7 22.Be2
