tpstar: This game makes for an excellent puzzle at White's Move 27, first because the initial Fork (27. Rhe1+ Re5 28. Qf5!) is difficult to visualize, and second since the Fork at the tail end of the combination (28 ... Qxf5 29. Bxf5 Rxe1 30. Rxe1+ Kd8 31. Bxc8 Kxc8 32. Re8+!) is the real coupe de grace.

Interesting that this Caro-Kann line is named after Tiviakov and Fischer.

Oct-20-09  PhilFeeley: Interesting that previous play by these two in this opening (white deviates here at move 6), they ended up in a long RvB endgame which black won. Tiviakov must have analysed his play and prepared this strong reply.
