Nov-25-07  goldenbear: Does White not have a nice advantage here after say 31.f3? Seems like this is one that should be played out to me.

Peligroso Patzer: In the tournament book ["New York 1924", by Alekhine, Alexander, Russell Enterprises (c)2008], Alekhine says if 10. e4, White would find it difficult to protect the d-pawn "for instance, after 10. ... Nh5 11. Be3 f5"; but in this line, Black would be in trouble after 12. exf5 (if now 12. ... gxf5, then 13. Nh4 with a clear advantage for White).
Feb-23-13  RookFile: I think that if white plays 31. f3, black can just keep moving his king towards the queenside, and he'll be ok.
Mar-12-13  Ulhumbrus: With Black's queen squirrelled away on the queen side after 13...Qa7 this suggests White is advised to play for a king side attack, perhaps by advancing the e pawn eg 14 Rac1 Rac8 15 e4 Nd7 16 e5
Sep-11-22  jerseybob: <Ulhumbrus: With Black's queen squirrelled away on the queen side after 13...Qa7 this suggests White is advised to play for a king side attack, perhaps by advancing the e pawn eg 14 Rac1 Rac8 15 e4 Nd7 16 e5> If Lasker had needed to play for a win that might be one possible course, though it's not without danger. After 16..b5!? the black queen is suddenly unsquirreled. If 17.e6,Nf6 seems to hold, while 17.exd,exd 18.Bxd6,Re8 also seems playable. I like Alekhine's 13..Qa7. I'd never seen this game before; it's an interesting clash of old school vs hypermodern.
