Jun-14-08  wanabe2000: Nice analysis! I too am an Alekhine fan and in this game Ne4 and Nd6 moves appear in many games. In fact he calls Ne4 his "patent".
Dec-11-08  computer chess guy: Alekhine notes in his "My Best Games of Chess" that Black should have tried to keep the position closed with 20. .. ♖d7, although White would still be better.
