Jun-29-05  lopium: Ahaahzzz! Strong last move, I saw it examing the game, very nice end. I like surprising end like that, the loser should be shocked, that's very very funny! ahjahahaz.
Jun-29-05  Mating Net: I would say that 32.Rxc6! is a vicious deflection. The Rook is invulnerable due to 33.Qb8+ with mate to follow on c8. The tactics are there if we look hard enough.

May-05-06  jamesmaskell: That photo features on the front cover of the book "Complete Games of Alekhine" (Kalendovsky and Fiana). Im working through volume one, 1892-1921.

  IMlday: 12..Nh6!? must be better than 12..Ne7 since it is more active (..Ng4,..Qh4..f6 all become potential ideas) but it is easy to see how Black eagerly sought out his two checks. Plus he is still in the game until 20..Rxc5? instead of 20..bxc5 which looks unclear.
