Maybe technique.

May-26-12  Libelt: Knight- simply hilarious!!..
Dec-28-14  1 2 3 4: <Penguincw> no technique, they both give the same reaction - probably because it was a goal in his life to underpromote
Jun-04-17  mikealando: There's some psychological edge to checking your opponent's king from all and any direction to signal the arrival of your attack.
Mar-24-25  goodevans: Black's Q was his most active piece by some margin but Her Majesty never liked to venture far before returning home.

piltdown man: Wow, a Narelle Szuveges game. I knew her, and her brother Grant quite well, a long time ago, and played Narelle once. (It was a draw). Great to see her game here.

Teyss: 37.dxc8=N+ adds insult to injury since of course dxc8=Q also forces 37...Qxc8. Probably Narelle Szuveges meant this as a jest and/or wanted her opponent to lose time thinking about 37...Ke8 38.Nd6+ Ke7 39.Nxb5 winning a net Rook.

Now 39...cxb5 is impossible because of 40.Rc7+ Ke8 41.e7.

At the end if 38...Rd5 to prevent 39.Qd6+, 39.Rxd5 cxd5 40.Rc1 Qd8 (Qe8 41.Rc7+ Kd8 42.Qd6+) 41.Rc7+ Ke8 42.Qa4+ wins.

Good game. The pun is apparently "If the shoe fits" but no clue if there's a hidden reference here (e.g. a film quote) since none of the players is named Cinderella.

Mar-24-25  Saniyat24: if you can underpromote and win with a Knight, what's the reason to promote to a Queen...I think the pun is saying that...!
Mar-24-25  Pyrandus: Szuveges - a Hungarian Name!
