Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-15-06  Rama: 9. Bh4 ..., signals white's peaceful intentions.

14. Nxd7 Nxd7, 15. Bh3 ..., confirms them.

I want to know what's wrong with 19. ... Bd6. Black can fight for the e5 square.

After 20. ... Bxe5, white has the problem of which pawn to protect, b2 or d4. (21. Qxe5 Qxb2; 21. Nxe5, Qxd4) The try 21. dxe5 Nf4, seems to open the d-file to black's advantage. A computer might help here.

After 20. Bxd6 Qxd6, the maneuver Nb4-Qd5-Nc6 puts intolerable pressure on the d4 pawn.

Anyway I see more play here. Another game from San Remo 1930.
