Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-06-04  dickweed: what's the purpose of 8) h4?
Sep-06-04  mack: Threatening h5
Sep-06-04  tomh72000: 8.h4 was to allow white to play h5, forcing the bishop back to h7.
May-02-13  dmvdc: What's the purpose of playing Bg4 if you simply retreat the bishop and tuck it away at h7 like you would be forced to do if you had played Bf5 (thus confusing the main line with the Two Knights).

  keypusher: Compare:

M Aung Hlaing vs Ye Naung Win Myint, 1999

Nimzo makes one extra move with the bishop, and Treybal makes one extra with the h-pawn, so it all washes out.
