Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-30-06  paladin at large: Fine middlegame play by Réti, whose exchanges stop White's advancing kingside pawns. An interesting rook and pawn ending, as Réti abandons his queenside pawns to gain telling pressure on the White king.
Aug-24-07  Articcircle: I think 62.b7? was a mistake. 62.Rb5+! would draw, for example 62..Kh4 63.Rb4-Kh3 64.Rxf4-Rd1+ 65.Rf1-RxR+ 66.KxR-Kh2 67.b7-g2+ 68.Ke2-g1=Q 69.b8=Q+

Gypsy: <Articcircle: I think 62.b7? was a mistake.> I believe you are right. The number one priority for the defense seems to be the prevention of f3. For instance, <62.Rb5+ Kf6 63.Rb3...> appears to hold the draw, while <62.Rb5+ Kf6 63.b7? f3 ...> loses again.
