  plang: 9..a5 isn't played very often but seems like a reasonable alternative. 15 Nh2 was new; 15 d4 had been played previously. The complications that Black initiated with 29..Bd6!? might have backfired had White played 36 Bxc4!..Nxc4 37 dxc..Be6 38 c5!..Rxc5 39 Rf8+..Kh7 40 Nd4..Bd5 41 R8d5 with good winning chances for White. 45..Kd8! was the way to draw; 45..Kd7? would have lost after 46 d5..Rf5 47 c6+..Kd8 48 c7+..Kd7 49 c8(Q)+.
