Chess Game Collections
[what is this?] --*-- [what is this?]

  1. Color Complexes
there are a couple of nice illstrations of light square theory in A. Nimzovich's 'Chess Praxis of My System', which I could not find in the database.
    10 games, 1885-2009

  2. Kingside attack in the Open Sicilian
A majority of the games in this collection will feature the English Attack. This collection is just for entertainment; I don't play these lines.
    19 games, 1943-2004

  3. positional games
    10 games, 1908-2004

  4. Power and weakness of the Isolated Queen Pawn
The Isolated Queen's Pawn can play a dangerous role in attack, espeically when it advances to disorient the enemy army. Most games in this collection examplify this theme. However, sometimes it can be properly blockaded and eventually captured. The last 2 games illustrate this. 'Understanding Pawn play in chess' by Drazen Marovic has a nice treatment of the subject of IQP. An equally good treatment is available in 'Pawn structure chess' by Andrew Soltis
    18 games, 1906-2002

  5. Sacrificial Mating Attacks
We begin with the theme of Double Rook sacrifices. These games are included in Chernev and Reinfeld's 'The fireside book of chess'. The other Double Rook sac games contained in that book which I couldn't find in this database are : i)Craddock-Mieses (London, '39) ii)Nield-Edwards (correspondence, '40) and iii) Enevoldsen-Paulsen (Copenhagen, '40)
    28 games, 1903-2006

  6. Vishy Anand sacrifices away to glory !
    35 games, 1987-2015

  7. White's Kingside Attack in QGD-like openings
They are grouped by specific attacking plans
    85 games, 1894-2011
