Bad Lauterberg (1977)

This was an international GM tournament 6-22 March 1977 in celebration of the 100-year existence of the German Chess Federation. The field consisted of sixteen players, whereof four Germans (Hübner, Hermann, Gerusel and Wockenfuss).

Karpov (it was his first visit to Germany) dominated the tournament, scoring 12/15. Timman's second place, two points adrift, was also an excellent performance.

  Tabanus: The crosstable is wrong, and should be made again from scratch.

Using the right results for Huebner vs M Gerusel, 1977 (1-0) and V Liberzon vs Huebner, 1977 (1/2), moving Hübner up from 12th place to shared 5th.
