Bad Lauterberg (1977) |
This was an international GM tournament 6-22 March 1977 in celebration of the 100-year existence of the German Chess Federation. Karpov (it was his first visit to Germany) dominated the tournament, scoring 12/15. Timman's second place, two points adrift, was also an excellent performance.
