The National Tournament of the City of London Chess Club was held in the Club's premises at 7 Grocers' Hall Court, Poultry, London, England, from 25 July to 13 August 1904. Rest days: 31 July, 1 and 7 August. Number of games played: 17 x 8 = 136 (there was one bye each round). William Napier won with 12.5/16.

Napier earned £60 presented by Sir George Newnes, the President of the City of London Chess Club.
