There are only two games in life: Chess and Poker. Chess because you can't lie, and poker because you have to.

A good cigar. A good bottle of scotch. The time to enjoy them.

Realizing this is an international group - Sergeant Shultz was a character on american tv in the 1960's. His famous line was "I know nothing"

srgntshultz: This is a game I remember from almost thirty years ago. Thought it would be included in CG database. It was published in CL Dec. '85, and Atlantic Chess News. Among my chess programs, only Fritz finds 19...Bf4 (at a low ply) and gives it a -0.01. Not the earth shattering move I ...

WannaBe: What colour is the '69 Corvette, and is it a convertible?

OhioChessFan: Orange, like the tartness of citrus. Steak, barely, a nice steak that melts as you eat it just can't be topped by fish. Sophia, because if you offer an equivalent blonde and brunette, I'll take the brunette every time. Vette, like sporty over rich. Never saw either one. Sax, since it's so emotive. Rembrandt, too big a talent gap to close with originality. Pen, need to be confident doing crosswords. Small and quiet, oh yeah, can't imagine preferring anything else. New York, don't want to leave the States. Dog, because cats are Satan's spawn. Words, because I have some facility with them.

srgntshultz: One year anniversary next Tuesday. Thanks to all.

Would you rather -
Save the world, or save yourself?

Have egg rolls and won ton soup with a skinny blond, or pizza with a fat italian chick.

.38 or a .45

Small house with lots of land, or big house on a tiny lot.

Fool all the people some of the time, or fool some of the people all the time?

Look good, but feel lousy, or look like hell and feel great.

Listen to music, or play music.

Live a long boring life or a short exciting one.

Have one good friend or many acquaintance's.

Laugh first, cry later - or - cry first and laugh later.

Lose a love of a lifetime, or never have loved at all.

Have a good year.
