Resignation Trap: Botvinnik in his personal notebook while preparing for his 1951 match: "In a Dutch Defense 'Br' copied Black's play in the game Najdorf vs Tartakower, 1946. Draw agreed after 32 moves in a position slightly inferior for 'Br'."
Jan-09-13  wordfunph: game story..

<At the interzonal tournament in Saltsjobaden (1948) Bronstein often played blitz with Miguel Najdorf in his free time, almost always beating him. In his tournament game with Najdorf, in severe time trouble, he offered a draw in a worse position. Najdorf refused. Bronstein got up from his chair and, pacing up and down the stage, started calmly looking at the positions on the neighbouring boards, watching his opponent out of the corner of his eye. A minute later Najdorf lost his inner composure, shook hands and accepted the offer.>
